Registration Fees

  • The Registration fee is an annual amount of $50 per family.
  • This fee is payable upon registration. It is non-refundable and non-transferable.
    • Private Lessons will not be secured until the registration application and fee are both received.
    • The Registration fee must be paid before older students can sign up for an audition time and/or voice check, if applicable.

Tuition (All costs below are per student, per semester.)

ENSEMBLES:

  • Primary Instrumental & Vocal ensembles: $165 (14 weeks)
  • UNAM, Handbell Choir, and General Music Classes: $115 (14 weeks)
  • Jazz Band: $57.50 (7 weeks)

PRIVATE LESSONS: (30 minute lessons)

  • Private String Lessons (10 weeks + 4 group): $340
  • Private String Lessons (10 weeks): $320
  • Private Piano Lessons (14 weeks): $440
  • Private Trumpet & French Horn Lessons (Mr. Hodges/14 weeks): $440
  • Private Band Instrument Lessons (Mr. White/10 weeks): $320
  • Private Acoustic Guitar/Ukulele/Bassoon Lessons (Zoe Maxwell/12 weeks): $380

Tuition is to be paid in full by the first day of classes unless a payment arrangement has been made in advance.

Primary Ensemble Discounts To keep the program affordable for families, multi-child/class discounts are given for students within the same family.

Primary Ensembles include: Beginning, Intermediate, Concert, & Symphonic Band, Intermediate & Chamber Strings, and Elementary, Middle, and High School (The Notables) Choirs.

  • Rates per semester:

    • $165 First child/class
    • – $25 Second child/class
    • – $50 Third child/class and beyond
  • Multi-child/class discounts DO NOT APPLY to Private Lessons, UNAM, Handbell Choir, Sr. Jazz Band, and Music Theory. A Private Lesson student may be counted as the 1st child/class in a single family with multiple children in the program. The second child participating in a Primary Ensemble would have tuition reduced by $25. If a second child is also registered for Private Lessons, the rate for the second child will also be the normal Private Lesson rate.]
  • Partial Tuition Assistance: We would like all children to have an opportunity to participate in music through PMA. If you have a special financial circumstance that prevents participation, please contact our Administrator at office@piedmont-music.com to find out more about the possibility of tuition assistance. Each request will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
  • MONTHLY PAYMENT PLAN: If spreading out your tuition makes PMA more manageable for your family, please contact our Administrator at office@piedmont-music.com to set up an arrangement.

Additional VOC Costs for new Middle & High School students):

  • Concert Attire – $75 per student
  • VOC t-shirts – $15 per student (TBD)

Late Fees:

A late fee of $20 per month will be charged for tuition not paid in full by the due date. Unpaid tuition may cause your child to be dropped from the class. If there are special circumstances that may cause your payment to be late, please contact the PMA Administrator as soon as possible. office@piedmont-music.com.

Instrument Rental Fees:

If you would like to rent a musical instrument from PMA the cost ranges from $75 – $125 per semester. Summer rental is the same.
